Adult bearded dragons (18–24 inches) need a minimum 120-gallon enclosure (48″ × 24″ × 24″). Juveniles can be kept in 40–75 gallon tanks temporarily, but should be upgraded by 12 months. Our Terrarium Size Calculator gives exact minimum dimensions for 40+ species including geckos, monitors, tortoises, and boa constrictors.
Juvenile bearded dragons (under 12 months) should eat 60–80% protein (live insects) and 20–40% greens, fed 2–3 times daily. Adults flip to 20% protein and 80% plant matter, fed once daily. Portion size is roughly the space between the eyes for insects. Our Bearded Dragon Feeding Calculator gives exact quantities and dusting schedules based on your dragon’s current age and weight.
A safe prey item should be no wider than the widest point of your snake’s body — typically 10–15% of the snake’s body weight. Feeding too large a prey item risks regurgitation and stress. Our Snake Prey Size Calculator converts your snake’s current weight into the correct feeder rodent size (from pinky mice to jumbo rats) and recommended feeding interval.
